I am Nelida Puente and I am honored to have the opportunity to be your new assistant principal! It is a great honor to serve at a school that demonstrates excellence and that values all its members and their unique qualities. I value what the Worth Heights community has built and am looking forward to working alongside all of you.
I have served as an educator for 12 years and have been at FWISD the last 6 years. I began my career as an Educator with FWISD at S. S. Dillow Elementary where I taught Kindergarten Bilingual and 3rd Grade Bilingual. I also served as the Data Analyst, LPAC Chairperson, and Campus Technology Liaison during my 6 years there.
I believe that a positive school environment and collaboration amongst teachers and administrators is the key to creating successful teachers and students. I believe that creating a strong community and parent partnership is essential to enhancing student’s opportunities for success and their overall school experience. I look forward to continuing the great things happening at Worth Heights Elementary.
Some of my hobbies and passions include gardening, sewing, reading, and spending time with my family.
