FWISD Reschedules Free SAT Exams for High School Juniors
(Monday, March 1, 2021) -- The Fort Worth ISD has rescheduled its free SAT exams for high school juniors at local schools for 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 13. Originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 3, the exams were rescheduled following the recent winter storms.
Last month’s winter storms caused a delay in the shipment of the College Board test materials, according to FWISD Collegiate Programming and Advisement Department officials.
The free ACT exam date has not changed. Juniors are slated to take the exam at their local high schools at 8 a.m. March 30.
Students are encouraged to take these tests as early as their junior year because higher education staff use the scores to make college admissions, as well as, scholarship decisions.
Tests administered at FWISD campuses are the same as those administered at a general testing site. Below are the District-organized test benefits:
- There is no cost to the student
- The test is held during the school day
- The test is administered in a familiar environment
For additional questions or support, students are encouraged to contact their campus Postsecondary Success Specialist or The Collegiate Programming and Advisement Department at 817-814-1560.
