Lockheed Martin Mentors

Engineers from Lockheed Martin's chapter of the National Society of Balck Engineers kicked off another school year of serving as mentors to our students at Metro Opportunity. Engineers visit with our students to tutor in mathematics, discuss challenges to graduation and opportunities after high school. The program is now over a decade old.

The kick off included keynote speaker Norm Robbins, a lifelong partner to Metro Opportunity and the link betweeen Lockheed Martin and our school. Dr. Cherie Washington also shared some wise words about taking advantage of the mentorship these great engineers offer to our school.  Our new administrators, Aundra Bohanon and Phillip Anderson, also said words of thanks to staff members and gave recognition awards to some of our tenured mentors.
