NFL PLAY60 Program Visits Daggett Middle School

On Friday, May 20, Daggett Middle School students participated in a Dallas Cowboys Mini-Camp and Pep rally with the Cowboys Mascot and former Cowboys Offensive Lineman, Joe Looney. Daggett Middle School was the winner of the Dairy MAX March Breakfast Competition, the middle school with the biggest percent increase in breakfast participation.

“Daggett Middle School is very excited to have the opportunity through Aramark and Dairy Max to partner with the Dallas Cowboys,” said Daggett Principal Tracy Smith. “It will be a once-in-a-lifetime event for our scholars to meet and work with professional athletes that have made good choices in their careers and lives. I hope that this experience will impact our scholars and their road to success in the future.”

NFL PLAY60 is the league's national youth health and wellness campaign that encourages kids to get physically active for at least 60 minutes a day.

"We know students who start their day with a nutritious breakfast perform better academically. The goal of this breakfast competition was to get students excited about building healthy behaviors and getting off to a great start by fueling with breakfast. We’re excited to provide this mini-camp experience designed by Cowboys coaching staff for the students. This amazing event today is just the beginning of our partnership with Dairy MAX and the Dallas Cowboys to encourage students to develop life-long healthy habits. " Jeanna Ratnayake, Vice President of Operations, Aramark.
