Attention, Eighth-Graders and Parents! FWISD is Accepting Late Applications for Early College High Schools/P-Tech for 2020-21 School Year

Think of Fort Worth ISD Gold Seal Early College High Schools (ECHS)/P-Tech as a comprehensive training ground for college and competitive careers. Now through September, Fort Worth ISD is accepting online late applications for most of our ECHSs and P-Tech for the 2020-21 school year.

Earn college credits, build job skills, and develop a new level of confidence. Best of all, ECHSs allow students to earn their high school diploma and associate degree simultaneously!

Early College High Schools

The goal of Early College High Schools (ECHS) is for students to graduate with 60+ hours of transferable college credit.

Students have the opportunity to earn a two-year associate degree along with their high school diploma – tuition free – saving their families thousands of dollars in college costs.

Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH)

In addition to Early College High School opportunities, P-TECH Early College High Schools provide work-based learning experiences at every grade level by establishing agreements with industry partners – partners such as Bell, McAfee, the James L. West Center, Texas Wesleyan University, the University of North Texas and others. Students visit job sites; and, through internships and apprenticeships, they may earn work credentials, such as licenses and certificates that are aligned to their chosen pathway.
