FWISD Schools Make Best High Schools National List

Twenty Fort Worth ISD (FWISD) High Schools are among the best high schools in the United States, according to a report by the U.S. News 2022 list of best high schools recently released.


The U.S. News rankings included data on nearly 24,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Schools were ranked on six factors based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college.

Fort Worth ISD’s Young Women's Leadership Academy took the top rank for the District, coming in at #21 in the state and #130 in the nation. Other FWISD high schools that made the list include:

  • Tarrant County College South/Fort Worth Collegiate High School

  • Trimble Technical High School
  • Benbrook Middle/High School
  • Marine Creek Collegiate High School

  • South Hills High School
  • Carter-Riverside High School
  • North Side High School
  • Southwest High School
  • Polytechnic High School
  • Western Hills High School
  • O.D. Wyatt High School
  • Dunbar High School
  • Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School
  • Eastern Hills High School
  • Success High School
