Coach Geer was named as a finalist by the Dallas Wings for Jr. NBA Coach of the Year.

Coach Geer was named as a finalist by the Dallas Wings for Jr. NBA Coach of the Year.
       Coach Geer is entering his third year as the head women's basketball caoch at PHS. This is Coach Geer's 34th year as a coach and educator. Paschal has won more games than the previous year for the third time in a row. They have also done the same thing in district play. 
Coach Geer began his coaching career in Louisiana as the athletic director, the head boys' and girls' basketball coach at Central HS in Grand Cane, LA. He took the Pioneers to back-to-back state tournaments in his 3 years there. He moved his talents to national basketball powerhouse Shreveport Woodlawn, helping the Knight's to 5 straight sweet 16 appearances and 3 state tournament appearances as the associate head coach with Louisiana's legendary Coach Leon Shaw. 
      Coach Geer then went to Louisiana State University in Shreveport. Geer took the Pilots men's basketball program to back-to-back NAIA playoff appearances his first two years at the helm losing to Tarleton State and Southwestern University, falling one game short of the NAIA national championships. Coach Geer later moved to Texas and has been a highly successful boys' and girls' basketball coach for over 20 years. 
      In 2015 Greg Nared the new VP of the Dallas Mavericks Basketball Academy hired Geer as a Director for the Academy where he continues
to lead skills training and various elite camps across the DFW area in his spare time. Geer also serves as Texas Operations Coordinator for Aussie Basketball Travelers bases in Sydney, Australia. 
      Coach Geer received his M. ED in Curriculum Education/ Special Education from Louisiana State University-Shreveport. He has a BA degree in Physical  Education from Baptist Christian College (LA). While at BCC he was a 4 year letterman in baseball and basketball. He set numerous school records in both sports. Coach Geer is married to his lovely and beautiful wife Valeria. He has two children, daughter Courtney, son Skylar and three grandchildren, Axel, Olivia Faith and Vivianne Rose. He loves spending time golfing, fishing, traveling and taking his canine buddy Boston for rides in his truck. 
      When asked what is meant o be a finalist as Junior NBS Coach of the Year, Coach Geer replied: "I am humbled and excited to be chosen as a finalist by the Dallas Wings Organization. Being a coach for 24 years has given me the unique opportunity to mold and lead young people's lives in a positive manner has truly been a blessing!"
