Critters from the Fort Worth Zoo’s Animal Outreach Program celebrated Valentine’s Day by visiting students at Fort Worth ISD’s Wedgwood 6th Grade Center.
This was the first time this educational, entertaining and interactive program brought a wide variety of birds, mammals and reptiles to Wedgwood 6th.
Kids spent the first semester studying conservation in their science classes. The presentation put children, literally, in touch with that which they have studied. Later this spring students will learn more about eco-, taxonomic and classification systems including those found in their own backyards.
