YWLA at Dallas Wings

Fort Worth, Texas - On Tuesday, May 30, the Dallas Wings, Dallas-Fort Worth’s WNBA team, will be sponsoring STEM Day, a special event for STEM programs, at the College Park Center located on the campus of University of Texas at Arlington. All STEM programs along with friends and family are invited to join as the Dallas Wings take on the Indiana Fever. In addition to being able to attend this exciting event, select STEM programs will have the opportunity to showcase their work on the Dallas Wings Concourse!

The Girls Excelling in Math and Science (GEMS) enrolled in the Project Lead The Way engineering program at Young Women’s Leadership Academy in the Fort Worth Independent School District have not only been invited to attend the event, but will also have an opportunity to participate in the showcase display, and present many of their STEM projects.

When: STEM Day: Tuesday, May 30, 2017, from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Pre-game activities begin at 5 PM; Doors open to the public at 6 PM; Game begins at 7 PM. All central times.

Where: College Park Center, University of Texas in Arlington, 600 S Center St, Arlington, TX 76019

Who: Students from various STEM programs across the DFW Metroplex will be in attendance. Special guests include WNBA Dallas Wings and Indiana Fever.

Visuals: Girls Exceling in Math and Science (GEMS) from Young Women’s Leadership Academy in Fort Worth will be showcasing their STEM projects on the main concourse along with other participating schools at College Park Center during the Dallas Wings game.
