Paschal Alumni Present Scholarships in Name of Fallen Dallas Officer

Sr Picture Fort Worth, Texas – On Wednesday, May 31 at 4 p.m., alumni of Fort Worth ISD’s Paschal High School presented twelve $1,000 scholarships in the name of Paschal grad Patrick Zamarripa. Patrick was one of five police officers killed in a Dallas shooting in July of 2016.

Patrick’s father, Rick Zamarripa, was in attendance when the scholarships were presented. He also presented a banner to the school that memorializes Patrick to the school.

Patrick Zamarripa was a 2001 graduate of R.L. Paschal High School, where he played baseball. The 32-year old was born in Fort Worth and served three tours of duty in Iraq with the U.S. Navy. He was the father of two small children, one of whom is a student at Westcliff Elementary School. His widow, Kristy, is also a Paschal alum. Other family members attended Fort Worth ISD schools, as well.
