FWISD Superintendent Urges Everyone to Share Bond Information
Informing a large community of voters about the November 7 Penny Swap and Bond Elections is no small task. In his October video message to teachers and staff, Fort Worth ISD Superintendent Kent P. Scribner urges employees to share information with even just a couple of their friends and neighbors.
Proposition A on the ballot is the Penny Swap tax authorization, and Proposition B is the proposed $750 million bond program. Passage of these propositions would provide upgraded security and technology at elementary and middle schools, new schools and additions to address population growth, and improved learning environments at all neighborhood high schools.
Neither proposition would result in an increase in the current school tax rate.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 7. Early voting runs October 23 through November 3.
