Fort Worth ISD Celebrates Generation Texas Month with a Slate of Events

Preparing for life after high school and applying for college and financial aid can become daunting tasks. To help, a series of events will occur this November across the Fort Worth Independent School District to energize students about the process and importance of college and career readiness. The events coincide with the statewide initiative, Generation Texas Month.

The Generation TX (GenTX) Month campaign combines the statewide College Application and Financial Aid Awareness campaign, the nationwide The American College Application Campaign® (ACAC) Initiative and the 60x30TX Texas Challenge efforts into one powerful month.

Featured Generation Texas Month activities across Fort Worth ISD will include Generation Texas pep rallies, college fairs, financial aid drives and discussions with speakers from local colleges and universities. An emphasis will be placed on the increase of first-generation and low-income college application submissions.

For more details on what’s occurring on individual campuses, check with your local FWISD school counselor.
