FWISD Featured in Article on Dyslexia Intervention
A Fort Worth ISD program that focuses on the early identification of students experiencing dyslexia and offers intensive intervention methods is featured in a recent article published by District Administration Magazine, a monthly trade publication for education leaders in public school districts.
In the Nov. 13 article, “How Schools Are Disrupting Dyslexia,” writer Eleanor Chute cites Sara Arispe, FWISD associate superintendent for accountability and data quality, about the success the District has seen the last two years with the program. The Fort Worth ISD strategy provides structured, intensive small-group literacy instruction to elementary and middle school students as well as individual accommodations for students in a regular classroom.
The print and digital publication is read by school leaders nationwide. According to the District Administration Magazine website, the publication has 200,000 print and digital subscribers.
