Students’ Applications Stream in at FWISD Choices Expo
Published November 7, 2022
More than 1,100 applications received for Gold Seal Programs and Schools of Choice!
Three days after Fort Worth ISD Gold Seal applications went online, more than 1,100 have been received. This follows the annual Choices Expo held Friday evening, Nov. 4, and Saturday morning, Nov. 5, at Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center.
Take a look at the Expo Photo Gallery!
Families from inside and outside the District came to the Expo to explore our many Gold Seal education pathways, ask questions, and get assistance applying. They talked to Gold Seal coordinators, teachers, and students who offered their own special insights into the programs.
Starting today, individual Gold Seal Open Houses are being held in the evenings at District schools where parents and students can continue to get information on programs, as well as assistance applying. Find the Open House Schedule at www.fwisd.org/choices. That’s where you’ll also find the Gold Seal Choices Catalog, the Choices Overview video in English and Spanish, and the application.
Applications are due Jan. 6, 2023.
Fort Worth ISD Gold Seal Programs and Schools of Choice give families the power to choose an education that’s a match for their student’s interests, learning style, and college and career dreams.
Programs include industry-driven P-Tech academies, automotive technology, cybersecurity, cosmetology, and fine arts, just to name a few. Gold Seal Early College High Schools allow students to earn enough college credits to earn their associate degree tuition-free.
