FAFSA/TASFA workshop

Join us from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 5 at TABS for a FAFSA/TASFA hands-on workshop. This is for all students who plan to attend a two- or four-year college or university starting in fall 2022.

  • What to bring
    • Laptop (we will have extras if yours isn’t working)
    • Parent, preferably
      • For TASFA, parent's photo I.D., which is needed to notarize the form
    • Federal tax information or tax returns for 2020
      • If applicable: IRS 1040, foreign tax return, IRS 1040NR or IRS 1040NR-EZ; tax return for Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia or Palau W-2’s for you (if you worked) and your parent
  • What to know
    • Social Security number (yours and your, parent’s if applicable)
    • Parent’s month and year of birth
    • Parent’s month and year of marriage and, if applicable, separation or divorce
    • If you are not a U.S. citizen, your Alien Registration Number
    • Records of your untaxed income, such as child support received, interest income or veterans noneducation benefits, for you and for your parents
    • Information on cash on hand; savings and checking account balances; investments, including stocks and bonds and real estate (but not including the home in which you live); and business and farm assets for you and for your parents
    • FSA I.D. for you and parent (You can create this in advance or complete it on site.)
