Trimble Tech High School hosted members of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2020, and showcased five of our CTE programs. The five CTE programs were Welding, Construction Technologies, Health Science Technology, Culinary Arts, and Electrical Technologies.
Students in each CTE program took the role of teachers and instructed or directed the on-site visitors in learning one of the skills of the program. This was a great way to showcase students and all they’ve learned in their CTE majors.
When the program tours ended, the guests met in the Bulldog Library for a gourmet lunch prepared and served by our Junior and Senior Culinary Arts students. It was a three-course meal consisting of an appetizer, main course, and dessert. The appetizer was a winter salad with spring mix salad greens, Granny Smith apples, dried cherries, toasted pecans, thinly sliced red onion, and a creamy vinaigrette dressing. The main course was hand-rolled Italian sausage ravioli and wilted spinach with a brown butter sage sauce. The dessert was two cream puffs with chocolate work and fresh berries. Everything was unbelievably delicious!
Our partnership event was a great success, and we look forward to hosting another group like this again. As more pictures are shared, we will be adding them to the photo gallery.
