JRTOC Scholars Visit Dallas African American Museum

On 27 JAN, we took 44 JROTC scholars to the Dallas African American Museum.  It is a small museum, yet there is more to read and learn than we could cover in the short 2 hour visit.  The temporary exhibit was the Black Cowboy display and the museum staff provided a scavenger hunt for the guys to complete.  The permanent displays included art and details about a community and cemetery that was located at Lemmon Ave and Central Expressway which was removed to make way for the development and expansion of the expressway.
