Virtual Middle School College And Career Expo Set For June 15

Fort Worth ISD middle school students are encouraged to power-up their smart devices and tablets to participate in the virtual Middle School College and Career Expo on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.

The event, now in its 12th year, is guaranteed to provide eighth grade students and parents information on how to successfully navigate the college selection process, and it also showcases exciting careers of the future.

Students plugged in on the day of the event will hear words of encouragement from Daphne Brookins, FWISD District 4 Trustee. They will also participate in online college tours and receive a host of Google classroom links with topics stemming from “Becoming an Entrepreneur” to “Military Readiness.”

“There’s definitely something for everybody at this year’s expo. Our team wanted to ensure we touched on key topics and issues we knew were important to our students,” said Danyatta Harrell, GO Center Coordinator.

College and Career Readiness (CCR) Coaches will promote the Middle School College and Career Expo at their respective campuses. Interested students should reach out to their CCR coach directly to learn more or to register.
