FWISD Superintendent Lone Finalist Expected to Sign Contract at Special Board Meeting on Tuesday

The Fort Worth ISD Board of Education will hold a special board meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 20, during which trustees are expected to finalize the hiring of Dr. Angélica M. Ramsey as the District’s 21st superintendent. 

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Fort Worth ISD Teaching and Learning Center, 1050 Bridgewood Drive, Fort Worth.

According to the agenda, trustees will vote on one item: Consider and Take Action to Approve the Superintendent's Employment Contract and Other Related Agreements for Dr. Angélica Ramsey.

Dr. Ramsey was named the lone finalist for the position of Superintendent during a special board meeting on Aug. 30. This, in turn, was followed by a 21-day waiting period as mandated by state law.
