POTENTIAL FOUL WEATHER MOVES FIRST THREE FWISD GRADUATIONS INSIDE
The Fort Worth ISD will move the first three graduations ceremonies to an inside venue because of potential bad weather.
The change of venue will impact ceremonies for the District’s three Early College High School programs. All three graduations will now be held at the Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center, 5201 C.A. Roberson Blvd., immediately adjacent to Clark Stadium.
- Texas Academy of Biomedical Sciences, Thursday, June 3, 7:30 p.m. – Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center
- Marine Creek Collegiate High School, Friday, June 4, 7:30 p.m. – Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center
- Tarrant County College South Collegiate High School, Saturday, June 5, 7:30 p.m., Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center
Note that the graduations scheduled for all other FWISD schools, June 16 – June 20, will remain as scheduled.
Additionally, the District will relax previous COVID-19 restrictions for all high school graduations ceremonies.
Unlike the spring 2020 graduations ceremonies, the District will not limit the number of attendees so that all family and friends may celebrate students. Masking and social distancing preferences, while optional, are still recommended.
Before attending a graduation ceremony, we ask all attendees to please self-screen checking for new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19 that include:
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Chills, repeated shaking with chills
- Muscle pain
- Headache
- Sore throat, loss of taste or smell
- Diarrhea
- Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit,
- Known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19
Please do not attend any graduation if you are experiencing the aforementioned symptoms.
