Fort Worth Police Seek Public's Help In Investigation of Attack On Student
Fort Worth Texas - The Fort Worth Police Department has taken the unusual step of asking for the help of the general public early in the investigation of the assault of a 13 year old International Newcomer Academy (INA) student at approximately 7 a.m. this morning. INA is a Fort Worth ISD school.
The assault occurred near the school bus stop at Calmont and Laredo Drive. During the assault the student was able to free herself and return to the bus stop and get on the bus. The bus driver called police.
The only description the police have of the possible suspect is a White or Hispanic male, between 30 and 40 years of age, wearing a light colored shirt and dark pants. There is no other description or information if there any information if a vehicle was involved.
Police ask that anyone who saw anything, or perhaps has video of an unusual event in the Calmont/Laredo Drive area at approximately 7 a.m. to please contact their Major Case office at 817-392-4430 or call Crimestoppers anonymously at 817-469 TIPS (8477).
The student remains hospitalized in serious condition according to police. Police have refrained from using the word “abduction” in this case because they don’t yet have enough information to determine motive, or exactly what happened.
