Jacquet parents and students as well as all members of the greater Dunbar school community are invited to hear about the District’s exciting new partnership with Phalen Academy.  This new collaboration will result in extra learning opportunities, including tutoring, extended days, and access to more community resources.

The school, which will be renamed the Phalen Leadership Academy at J. Martin Jacquet Middle School, will continue to honor the legacy of Mr. Jacquet as well as the traditions of the Dunbar “Wildcat” community.

The evening will begin with a brief presentation.  Then, Mr. Phillips, Dr. Scribner, and Phalen Founder and CEO Earl Martin Phalen will take parent and community questions through the Zoom “chat” format.  They will be joined by Chief of Student and School Support Dr. Cherie Washington, Chief of Innovation David Saenz, and Executive Director of Student and School Support Rian Townsend.

Family Communications Director Jennifer Perez and Family Communications Specialist LaTonya Copeland-Berry will help field the questions from the audience on both Zoom and Facebook Live, where the forum will be shown simultaneously.
