Join the Conversation Dec. 7 and Learn How to Protect Your Child
The nature and scope of the human trafficking problem in Fort Worth is alarming, according to experts. Less than two months ago, a Tarrant County trafficking operation led to 115 felony arrests. Now, Fort Worth ISD is inviting parents of 4th-12th graders to a trafficking prevention virtual session.
Join the conversation Tuesday, Dec.7, at 6 p.m. here: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82852088566.
The session will focus on human trafficking awareness and will preview an age-appropriate prevention education program that Fort Worth ISD will begin delivering to students in January.
As part of a $1.8 million grant from the Office on Trafficking in Persons, the Administration for Children and Families, and the U.S. Department of Education, the Fort Worth ISD will deliver the PROTECT® curriculum around the following topics:
- Safe People, Safe Places, Safe Choices (grades 4-6)
- Protecting a Masterpiece: Understanding self-worth, response to unsafe situations, healthy and unhealthy relationships (grades 7-8)
- Understand and Recognize Human Trafficking (grades 9-10)
- Building Resilience and Protective Skills (grades 11-12)
The Dec.7 presentation for parents will give them the information they need to give consent and "opt-in" for their student to be part of the education program in January.

- Personas seguras, lugares seguros, selecciones seguras (Safe People, Safe Places, Safe Choices) en grados 4-6
