North Side HS JROTC Team Advances to National Leadership Bowl Championship
The JROTC Leadership Team from Fort Worth ISD’s North Side High School will compete in the 2018 U.S. Army JROTC Leadership Bowl Championship this June in Washington, D.C.
The team is one of only 40 in the nation advancing to the prestigious competition June 22-26 at The Catholic University of America. The North Side High JROTC Leadership Team is made up of junior cadet 2nd Lt. Ana Gomez, sophomore cadet 2nd Lt. Adrianna Rodriguez, sophomore cadet Sgt. Sebastian Flores, and freshman cadet Pfc. Elizabeth Del Rio.
North Side qualified after advancing in two online rounds of competition testing the team on leadership value and skills and familiarity with current events.
The U.S. Army Cadet Command and JROTC Headquarters sponsor the contest. The competition is conducted by College Options Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on preparing high school students for college and enhancing their academic development.
