Summary: Grand pianos, digital pianos, violins and other musical instruments used by Fort Worth ISD’s Southwest and Diamond Hill-Jarvis high schools during the 2018-2019 school year will be available for public purchase, August 1-3.
The instruments were provided to Southwest and Diamond Hill-Jarvis high schools last school year on a no-cost basis through a partnership with the Rockley Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides music scholarships, donates instruments to the underprivileged and use of instruments to the music education community. The instruments sold August 1-3 will contribute to the foundation’s efforts to support local institutions with musical instruments.
Pianos available for purchase include grands, baby grands, digital player grands, vertical (upright) and digital. Orchestral strings will also be available. The instruments, some of which are less than a year old, are from famous makers including Yamaha, Bösendorfer, Pramberger, Seiler, Clavinova, Stravari Fine Violins and others. A discrete selection of vintage Steinway & Sons pianos are available.
Instruments come tuned, ready to go and include a new factory warranty. Special no-interest financing and delivery are available. A large portion of the purchase may be considered a tax-deductible charitable contribution to the Rockley Family Foundation.
The purchasing event will take place at the Performing Arts Center at the I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and VPA, 1900 I.M. Terrell Way, Fort Worth, 76102.
