Tarrant Area Food Bank Partners with Sponsors and Fort Worth ISD to Feed More Than 1200 Families

Tarrant Area Food Bank Partners with Sponsors and Fort Worth ISD to Feed More Than 1200 Families The Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) worked with local partner organizations and Fort Worth ISD to provide more than 1,200 boxes of food to families on Saturday, March 28, at five mobile pantry sites.

TAFB and volunteers from its partner agencies distributed 25-pound boxes of non-perishable food to families at:

  • Leadership Academy of Como Elementary, sponsored by TAFB partner Como Lions Heart
  • Leadership Academy at Maude Logan Elementary, sponsored by TAFB partner Stop Six
  • A.M. Pate Elementary, sponsored by TAFB partner Southside Church of Christ
  • Carroll Peak Elementary, sponsored by TAFB partner Greater True Light
  • D. McRae Elementary, sponsored by TAFB partner Community Food Bank

These dedicated volunteers took safety precautions when distributing the food, moving the cars through the lines with precision to give each family their box. Fort Worth police officers helped ensure the process went smoothly at each location and also took necessary safety precautions.

TAFB hopes to continue this effort with more food distribution mobile pantry sites on future Saturdays.
