Fort Worth ISD Introduces 2020-21 Teaching Chairs of Excellence Travis Arnold, Arlington Heights High School
(Friday, December 4, 2020) -- Once again, the Fort Worth ISD, with the generous support of community partners, recognizes outstanding teachers as the District’s Academic Chairs for Teaching Excellence.
Modeled after the university-level Chair program, there are 16 categories of distinction. The honorees receive the title of Chair for Teaching Excellence for one year as well as a $5,000 honorarium.
Travis Arnold of Arlington Heights High School was one of 140 teachers who applied to this year’s award program. His school recently held a surprise outdoor celebration to announce he was named the 2020 Sewell Lexus and Infiniti of Fort Worth Chair for Teaching Excellence in Humanities.
