Golden Opportunity Awaits Fort Worth ISD Students

(Tuesday, February 23, 2021) -- Don’t miss this golden opportunity – even if last week’s weather temporarily “froze” the process.

The Fort Worth ISD is still accepting late applications for its 2021-2022 Gold Seal Schools and Programs of Choice and spaces are filling up quickly.

Because of last week’s inclement weather and a resulting power outage, the Gold Seal Choice Late Application was temporarily unavailable. The application has been restored and can be completed here.

Students may apply through September for Programs and Schools of Choice where space is available. Unlike the general application window in December 2020 in which applicants were admitted by a computer-generated lottery, late applicants will be assigned to a school or program in the order they apply – first come, first serve.

View a complete list of Gold Seal schools/programs that are still accepting late applications for the  2021-2022 academic year in English and Spanish at www.fwisd.org/choice.

Gold Seal Programs of Choice and Schools of Choice appeal to student interests and passions and equip students with skills to thrive in college and the workforce. The rigorous program categories include aviation, cybersecurity, cosmetology, fine arts, STEM, Early College High School, P-TECH (Pathways in Technology) and much more.

The programs allow students to complete high school college-and-career-ready with opportunities enough college credits for an associate degree, professional licensures and certifications.
