FWISD Accepts 2021-22 Secondary School Transfer Requests

(Tuesday, March 2, 2021) -- The Fort Worth ISD is accepting secondary school transfer requests for the 2021-2022 academic year. Families may submit transfer requests through March 31, 2021.

Families may apply online for their first and second transfer choices. The District has implemented a computer-generated lottery system, similar to its Gold Seal Programs and Schools of Choice process, that will be utilized to admit transfers. Parents may request a transfer from their child’s home school to another campus, where space is available.

Fort Worth ISD began accepting online 2021-2022 secondary school transfer requests on Monday, March 1, 2021A transfer, once made, shall remain in effect as long as the student is in the same school. Parents will be responsible for transporting their child if granted a general transfer.

Submit an application here.

Public Education Grant (PEG) transfers from low-performing schools will also be accepted during this timeframe. However, a student from a PEG campus may not transfer to another low-performing school.  Campuses that have been identified as PEG campuses have already received transfer information.
