Parking Procedures for Designated Visitor Spaces in Front of Administration Building
We have some news for all our Central Administration Building visitors and our employees who have struggled with parking options for a long time.
First, visitors are our customers, our clients. Visitors are persons other than current administration building staff who come to the Administration Building for specific school-related business.
In order to better serve them, starting Monday, March 18, 2019, some new guidelines regarding visitor parking in front of the Administration Building will go into effect as follows:
- A security guard will monitor and enforce the use of the designated visitor parking spaces. Sorry, but any vehicle registered to a current Administration Building employee is not eligible for visitor status.
- The designated visitor spaces will be limited for up to two-hour parking. (No all-day parking)
- Visitors must check in with the security guard, who will log the vehicle information.
- In order to assure we are all following the rules, unauthorized vehicles could be towed at the owner’s expense.
- Employees with valid, state-issued handicap tags are eligible to use any handicap parking spaces around the Central Administration Building.
This change in parking procedures is just the first phase in an effort to reorganize parking for everyone’s benefit. We have already opened additional employee parking at the warehouse area on Wimberly (see map below).
Meanwhile, your department administrators are currently inventorying parking requirements for those who work at the Administration Building. Simultaneously, we will be determining the parking availability not only in the roof garage, but all around the immediate area.
We ask for your patience as we take the next steps. In the end, we will have a good understanding of the overall situation, and we can develop a plan to accommodate as many employees as possible.
