(Tuesday, November 17, 2020) -- Carter BloodCare recently presented Arlington Heights High School with a $990 partial grant for completing two blood drives during the 2019-2020 school year.
AHHS collected 173 units of life-saving blood through their blood drives last school year. Each unit of blood can save or enhance up to three lives, so that’s over 500 lives touched in our community.
More than 25% of the yearly total blood supply comes from high school blood drives. Carter BloodCare is committed to supporting community high schools because of the life-saving donations given by these schools.
