Start Your Journey to Success with the FWISD
Success starts with the Fort Worth ISD Early Learning Department.
Join the Fort Worth ISD for an In-Person Pre-kindergarten Teacher and Teacher Assistant’s Career Fair, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 3 at the FWISD Teaching and Learning Center, 1050 Bridgewood Drive in Fort Worth. Fort Worth ISD is among the first area districts hosting face-to-face career fairs since the start of the pandemic more than a year ago.
Interested candidates must register to be considered for the career fair. An invitation will be extended to qualified applicants to meet campus principals and Early Learning Personnel on June 3 for an interactive face-to-face interview. FWISD Human Capital Management personnel will also be available to answer candidate questions.
Stand out by following these helpful tips:
- Apply to teach or work as an assistant with the Fort Worth ISD at fwisd.org/careers
- Register for June 3 Pre-K teacher and teacher’s assistant career fair
- Upon receiving your invitation to attend the career fair, make copies of your cover letter, resume and certification/credential documents to share with campus principals and hiring managers at your interview
- Dress for success

The Fort Worth ISD is looking for highly qualified and talented individuals eager to support our youngest learners through energizing, educational and motivating curriculum. FWISD offers educators and assistants competitive pay and ample growth opportunities.
Pre-K teacher applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree, must be Texas certified in early childhood or pre-K. Experience working with diverse student population is preferred, and bilingual fluency is beneficial.
Teacher assistants must have a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of six months working experience. Skills include working with students or parents in church-related schools, day camps, youth groups, private groups, private schools, licensed daycare centers or similar experience. Highly qualified candidates must have 48 college credit hours, an associate degree or higher or who’ve passed the ParaEducator Training with 75 or better.
