The McLean HOPE Squad works to help all students feel valued, included and a part of our great Cardinal family. HOPE Squads are "peer to peer" programs that partner with local mental health and community agencies. McLean is partnered with the Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation. Our HOPE Squad students are trained to be active listeners so they may help and respond to peers who are struggling with emotional issues such as depression and suicide. Our mission is to reduce youth suicide through education, training and peer intervention. Our goal is to reduce self-destructive behavior and youth suicide by training, building and creating positive change in our school.
