Future Educators FWISD Students Advance To National Competition

Recently, the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) held its Area 10 Fall Competition at Tarleton State University. Over 150 FWISD students from 8 different Fort Worth ISD high schools competed, including – Western Hills, South Hills, OD Wyatt, Northside, Polytechnic, Dunbar, Pascal, Southwest, and Arlington Heights

 

With more than 2000 Texas students participating, 67 District students advanced to the state finals held March 2-4 in Round Rock, Texas.

 

Orlando, FL. has been tapped as the host site for the TAFE National Convention June 28 – July 1. We are pleased to report that 20 District students have advanced to the national level!

The Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) student organization for students interested in teaching careers. FWISD students held two of the four area officer positions for TAFE this year: Andrea Torres Rodriguez, President for Area 10-Western Hills High School and Jocelyn Soto, Vice President for Area 10-South Hills High School.
