Vote for Dunbar High School girls’ basketball head coach Candice Isaac, a national finalist for the Jr. NBA’s Scholastic Coach of the Year award! 

Coach Isaac is one of five finalists from teams across the WNBA and NBA vying for the award. Vote for her through Sunday, June 18 at https://wings.wnba.com/jr-nba-coach-of-the-year/.

On May 30, the Dallas Wings recognized Coach Isaac as its Scholastic Jr. NBA Coach of the Year. Dallas Wings Head Coach Latricia Trammell presented Coach Isaac with the award prior to the Wings-Minnesota Lynx tipoff at College Park Center in Arlington.

The Coach of the Year recognition, a program of the Jr. NBA and WNBA celebrates “youth basketball coaches who uphold the core values of the game, teach the fundamentals and inspire student-athletes,” according to a Wings Facebook post.  

The Wings present the award to two coach recipients in scholastic and community categories. Winners are selected based on public nominations the Wings receive in the spring.  

Local Coach of the Year winners are automatically entered as nominees for the national award.
