MACE Fund Drive Begins March 28 with Kickoff Event at Texas Wesleyan University

Fort Worth ISD will host its annual kickoff for employee giving to the Mexican American College Education Fund, Inc. (MACE) with an event from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 27 at Lou’s Place/ pavilion on the campus of Texas Wesleyan University.

MACE representatives are invited to attend the event and pick up contribution packets and materials for successful campus campaigns. Snacks and door prizes will be provided at the event.

From Wednesday, March 28 to Friday, April 27, employees are encouraged to participate in giving to the MACE fund drive. Participation is voluntary, and all donations are tax deductible. Acceptable contributions include checks made to MACE or donations made through employee payroll deduction.  The payroll deductions must be received no later than April 27, and contributions will be deducted from employee paychecks and processed in May, June, July and August.

MACE, a nonprofit founded in 1969 focused on mentoring and supporting the college careers of Mexican American students, has distributed more than $974,00 in scholarships to Tarrant County students, funding their college education.  Fort Worth ISD remains one of the organizations largest contributors annually through the employee giving program, according to the organization’s website.

Campus/ building representatives will be responsible for distributing donor cards to employees on their campus or in their departments and for collecting scholarship contributions.
