Daggett Montessori Community To Learn About Screen Time Management
Fort Worth, Texas - Students, their families, and staff at Fort Worth ISD’s Daggett Montessori School will have the chance to view a movie that will teach them how to better manage their screen time.
On Tuesday, November 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Screenagers will be shown at the school located at 801 West Jessamine Street in Fort Worth.
This family engagement and education opportunity will encourage parents and students to discuss the importance of managing screen time and the effects that too much electronic device screen time can have. Too much exposure to gaming, texting, social media etc. can reduce concentration and learning abilities in children.
“The reason we are providing access to this film is to show the effects screens can have on our bodies. We hope the film will encourage healthy discussions about screen use between students and their families,” said Principal Veronica Delgado.
The Daggett Montessori PTA paid for the licensing fee to allow the movie to be shown.
