Summary: On the first day of the annual Texas tax-free weekend, the Fort Worth ISD hosts a back-to-school event for families – with resources to help everyone get ready for the 2019-20 school year!

Parents, make plans to join Fort Worth ISD Board President Jacinto Ramos, Jr. and Dr. Kent Paredes Scribner, Fort Worth ISD Superintendent, for Fort Worth ISD’s 5^th Creando Una Amistad on Friday, August 9 from 5-7 p.m. at La Gran Plaza.

Creando Una Amistad --Creating a Friendship—is part of Fort Worth ISD’s commitment to listen to and talk directly with Spanish-speaking families and as well as inform them about support and opportunities in the District. Parents will also be able to participate in a discussion with District leaders about the importance of welcoming environments for students and other issues.

Creando Una Amistad is being held in partnership with Univision and La Gran Plaza.

And don’t forget, it’s also tax-free weekend!
