Expanded Hours, Booster Shots Now Available at FWISD Drive-Thru COVID Vaccination Site Beginning November 1

FWISD’s Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center Operates Five Days a Week

The Fort Worth ISD and the City of Fort Worth will offer expanded hours for the drive-thru vaccination site at the District’s Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center – beginning Monday, November 1.  Additionally, the location -- at 5201 C. A. Robertson Blvd., 76119 -- will now offer both initial vaccinations as well as booster shots to those eligible.

Booster shots (Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson) are available to those 18 years of age and older who qualify.  That includes teachers and school staff.

The clinic is open to everyone and no health insurance information required. No appointment is needed and you may stay in your car the entire time.

The site will operate five days a week:

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Initial vaccinations (single dose of Johnson & Johnson or first and second doses of Moderna and Pfizer) are still available to all individuals 18 years of age and older.

Individuals 12 years of age and older are eligible for first and second doses of Pfizer only.

Booster shots may be mixed. For example, if you previously received Johnson & Johnson, you may get a booster of Moderna or Pfizer. (See attached CDC graphic.)

No one under 18 years of age is eligible for any booster shot. Twelve to 17-year olds who received first and second doses of Pfizer cannot receive a booster dose of Pfizer at this time.

Vaccinations for 5 through 11-year olds are coming soon.  We will provide more information in the very near future.
