10,000 Fort Worth ISD Students Receive Supply Kits from TEXAS YES
Date: August 19, 2022
Ten thousand Fort Worth ISD students received supply kits from Texas Youth Education Support (TEXAS YES). The supply donation is part of the “Box of Dreams” program, a partnership between the nonprofit TEXAS YES and attorney and philanthropist Thomas J. Henry.
“Starting out a school year with school supplies is so important. Their educational development is greatly affected,” said attorney Thomas J. Henry.
“We are grateful for the donation of school supplies to our scholars. Because of the generosity of the YES Project, our students will be able to enhance their classroom experience, as well as extend their access to learning opportunities at home,” said Devona Burgess, principal of Edward J. Briscoe Elementary. “The ear-to-ear smiles on the faces of the children brought us all so much joy. Words are not enough to express our gratitude.”
This is the first year TEXAS YES donated supplies in the Fort Worth area. In addition to supplying donations, the nonprofit also provides grants for schools in STEAM development.
