FWISD Students Compete in UIL A+ MS District Competition

On March 4, 2023, the Fort Worth ISD held the UIL A+ MS District Competition at Benbrook Middle High School. The event was a celebration of academic excellence, where students from different schools competed in various academic competitions. The competition aims to help students prepare academically and to be confident in communicating what they have learned.

The competition included different academic contests such as Art, Calculator Applications, Chess Puzzle, Dictionary Skills, Editorial Writing, Impromptu Speaking, Listening Skills, Maps Graphs & Charts, Mathematics, Modern Oratory, Music Memory, Number Sense, Oral Reading, Ready Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Spelling. The contests were divided into different grade levels, allowing students to showcase their skills and knowledge.

The competition is a sport of knowledge and skills where students can show off how and what they have learned in many different academic contests. It also fosters healthy competition, teamwork, and leadership, which are essential skills for college and career success.
