EHHS Seniors Celebrated --and Inspire Younger Students--During Annual Senior Walk
Graduating seniors from Eastern Hills High School walked the halls of the high school’s nine surrounding elementary schools to cheers, celebratory high-fives, and signs congratulating them on finishing high school, Thursday, May 31.
It was part of the Eastern Hills High School Senior Graduation Pyramid Walk.
The soon-to-be graduates put on their caps and gowns, hopped onto school buses, and visited elementary schools where they were greeted with smiles, applause,, waves, celebratory banners, and on one campus, balloons. The annual event serves as motivation and an example to younger students of what they are one day capable of accomplishing – graduation.
Taking the walk with the seniors were Board of Education President Tobi Jackson and District 3 Trustee Christene Moss.
The seniors were divided into three groups. Each group took celebratory walks at three elementary schools. Some elected to visit the elementary school they attended, which created opportunities for them to reunite with their former teachers.
The EHHS Senior Graduation Pyramid Walk was one of several senior walks held throughout the District this week.
Graduation ceremonies for Eastern Hills High are slated for 7 p.m., Friday at Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center.
