O.D. Wyatt, Dunbar Advance to Area Playoffs
Fort Worth ISD’s O.D. Wyatt and Dunbar high school boys’ basketball teams are headed to the area playoffs.
Both teams are scheduled to play, Friday, February 22, 2019:

Dunbar versus Wilmer-Hutchins
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: Mansfield Summit High School, 1071 Turner Warnell Road, Arlington, Texas 76001

O.D. Wyatt vs. The Colony
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: at Grapevine High School, 3223 Mustang Drive, Grapevine, Texas 76051
Dunbar and O.D. Wyatt were the only two of the District’s six boys’ basketball teams in the playoffs that advanced to area. Both Southwest and South Hills ended their seasons in heartbreak, Tuesday, February 19, with games that were decided by a one and two-point difference, respectively. Southwest fell to Burleson Centennial 53-52, and South Hills was defeated by Crowley 79-77. Other FWISD teams competing in bi-district play included Western Hills and Arlington Heights.
The Fort Worth ISD is slated to host the 6A Region I Girls’ Basketball Tournament, Friday February 22-Saturday, February 23.
The following games are scheduled:
Friday
Semifinal Game 1 – 6 p.m. Amarillo Tascosa vs. South Grand Prairie
Semifinal Game 2 – 8 p.m. NRH Richland vs. DeSoto
Saturday
Championship Game – 1 p.m.
Next weekend, March 1-2, FWISD will host the 6A Region I Boys’ Basketball Tournament. Both tournaments are being held at the Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center, 5201 C.A. Roberson Blvd. in Fort Worth.
