FWISD Bond Bid Preview Puts Industry Professionals with Students Who Want to Learn from Them

Calling all Fort Worth ISD juniors and seniors who want to explore the fields of architecture, engineering, and construction! The place to be is the Fort Worth ISD Bond Bid Preview hosted by FWISD and Procedeo at Wilkerson-Greines Activities Center, Wednesday, May 18, noon – 2 p.m.

The Bond Bid Preview is where the scope of the District’s 2021 bond program is laid out and questions are answered for businesses hoping to be awarded some of the work on the projects.

The event is a great opportunity for Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs), subcontractors, suppliers, and general contractors to learn about Capital Improvement Program projects and schedules, upcoming procurement opportunities, and HUB program goals and guidelines.

And, for two hours (noon-2 p.m.), students will have access to the professionals to practice interviewing skills, learn what is important to have on resumes, and network.

A good impression at this job-readiness event could lead to a summer internship or a full-time position upon graduation!
