Vital Link Student Applications Deadline Is April 6
Fort Worth ISD Community and Strategic Partnerships is accepting student applications for the Vital Link program through Friday, April 6.
Now in its 27th year, Vital Link is a free, week-long, half-day unpaid internship program designed to demonstrate the connection between what is learned in the classroom and what is needed for success in the workplace. Fort Worth ISD rising seventh-graders will have opportunities to interact in a workplace setting with professionals from local businesses.
Students must complete an application to be considered for the program. As part of the application, students will be responsible for completing an essay, and parents or guardians will be required to complete a permission and release form. Applications will be received, and students will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis depending on availability. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Applications and additional information is available online at the Community and Strategic Partnerships website. Students must submit applications to their campus Vital Link Coordinator or email it to partnerships@fwisd.org.
Vital Link will take place on June 11-15 and June 18-22. Internships last from 8:30-11:30 a.m., and students can be picked up and dropped off by bus at their home middle school.
Please contact Marsha Waters at marsha.waters@fwisd.org with any questions regarding the program.
