Summary: For the thirteenth consecutive year, Fort Worth ISD students will be major participants in the Kimbell Art Museum’s Global Gallery Night, on Friday, April 27, 2018.
In conjunction with FWISD’s Multilingual Programs, Global Gallery Night affords third year and above language students the opportunity to study art while further perfecting their language abilities.
In order to participate in this event, students attend a mandatory orientation at the Kimbell.
“Opportunities such as this serve our students so well in helping them understand the importance of learning the culture of a second language,” said Elda Rojas, executive director of multilingual programs at the Fort Worth Independent School District.
Global Gallery Night allows student docents to share their insights about the Kimbell masterpieces while leading Gallery tours of selected international classic works.
Languages currently being offered in the Fort Worth ISD include French, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, German, Latin, Chinese, and American Sign Language.
