Volunteers Needed to Help with Food Distribution
Fort Worth ISD & Tarrant Area Food Bank Host Mega Mobile Market at Herman Clark Stadium on Wednesday Nights
Fort Worth ISD continues to work with the Tarrant Area Food Bank as they provide food to families in need each Wednesday night at the Mega Mobile Market at Herman Clark Stadium.
The food bank needs more volunteers to help with the weekly food distribution for every Wednesday in October.
Volunteers are needed from 5 – 8 p.m. Food distribution is from 6 – 8 p.m. Herman Clark Stadium is located at 5201 CA Roberson Blvd., Fort Worth, 76119.
Interested volunteers must first register online on the food bank’s website, which provides more details about volunteering individually or with a team: https://tafb.galaxydigital.com/need/detail/?need_id=533891
The Tarrant Area Food Bank has provided meals to families on Friday mornings since September 2020. Due to the return of in-person instruction and athletic events, food distribution now takes place on Wednesday evenings. Organizers continue to see an increase in families who visit the food bank for the first time, which is attributed to the most recent surge of the delta variant of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Mega Mobile Market is a large-scale food distribution event held each week. Each attending family receives a variety of high-quality, nutritious food.
Volunteers should enter using the Wichita Street entrance.
