Fort Worth ISD’s YWLA Students Featured In Visit Fort Worth’s ‘Women Worth Meeting’ Video Series
Three seniors from Fort Worth ISD’s Young Women’s Leadership Academy are featured in Visit Fort Worth’s new three-episode video series “Women Worth Meeting.”
“Women Worth Meeting” partners the three YWLA students with a trio of local women professional leaders in hospitality and the creative arts. The three students share their passions and career aspirations and shadow the professionals in their desired career fields: Loft22 Cakes Pastry Chef Tareka Lofton, American Airlines’ Chief Customer Officer Alison Taylor and local artist Michelle Cortez Gonzales.
The YWLA students featured in the videos are:
- Asheley Jones
- Vivian Muñoz
- Aleaha Kelly
"Women Worth Meeting" is directed by female filmmaker Candace Cooper of Westsider Media and features a soundtrack by local musician Lorena Leigh.
“Fort Worth hospitality is powered by people. We are proud to feature students from YWLA alongside incredible leaders from Fort Worth in this special video series.” said Mitch Whitten, Chief Operating Officer for Visit Fort Worth.
The “Women Worth Meeting” series can be viewed now on the Visit Fort Worth YouTube channel and its other social media platforms. Visit Fort Worth officials say the series highlights women leaders and supports tourism and visitor experience. Visit Fort Worth intends to showcase the videos in marketing campaigns and at future events and conferences.
