FWISD Seeks Public Input on Use of Title I and Other Federal Entitlement Programs
Voice your opinion by joining the June 29 Zoom meeting
Fort Worth ISD is inviting parents, staff, and community members to provide input on federal entitlement programs administered by the Texas Education Agency.
On Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 4 p.m., a virtual meeting will be held where participants can review and share thoughts on the District's Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) application for federal funds. The meeting will take place online via Zoom. No pre-registration is required.
District representatives will provide an overview of the proposed application for federal entitlement funds that will be used for multiple educational services at the District and campus levels, including:
- supplemental funding for instruction, professional development, and parent and family engagement
- programs for neglected, delinquent, or at-risk children and youth
- high-quality professional development for teachers and principals
- supplemental instruction and programs for English learners and their families
- support for a well-rounded education for students, improved school conditions, and instructional technology
For more information, please contact the Grants and Development Department at (817) 814-2280, or visit the department's federal entitlement programs webpage.
If you cannot attend the meeting or have questions or comments about federal entitlement programs that you prefer to submit privately, the Let's Talk! app is a great place to start.
