Host an International Visitor!
WE’RE BRINGING THE WORLD TO FORT WORTH AND NEED YOUR HELP!
Fort Worth Sister Cities International is expecting lots of visitors this year and we need YOU to help us show them what Texas hospitality is all about. There are several home hosting opportunities available this spring and summer.
April 7-15, 2023 – Young professionals from Kazakhstan
Through the Open World program, young professionals from Kazakhstan will visit Fort Worth to learn about US public policy and how it relates to the theme of law enforcement and social services responses to domestic violence. Activities will be planned each day during the week.
May 30-June 7, 2023 – Architectural engineering students from Mexico
Students from Toluca’s prestigious campus of the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education will come to Fort Worth to visit several businesses and universities to learn about the variety of potential careers in architectural engineering. Activities will be planned each day during the week.
June 9-30, 2023 – Dual Language Camp facilitators from Mexico
University students from Toluca will come to Fort Worth to work with FWISD elementary school students on their English and Spanish language skills. Students are busy working each day during the week.
June 23-July 1, 2023 – Judges from Ukraine
Through the Open World program, judges from Ukraine will visit Fort Worth to learn about US public policy and how it relates to the rule of law. Activities will be planned each day during the week.
July 13-17, 2023 – International Leadership Academy homestay weekend
Students and teachers from all of Fort Worth’s sister cities will come to Fort Worth for the two-week International Leadership Academy. During the academy, participants are sent to stay with host families. Pick them up in the afternoon on July 13 and drop them off in the morning on July 17. Activities will be planned on July 14, but the rest of the weekend is free.
July 23-30, 2023 – International Leadership Academy extended stay
Students and teachers from Reggio Emilia, Italy and Mbabane, Eswatini will extend their stay in Fort Worth after the International Leadership Academy. Activities will be planned each day.
